Little Floral Shoulder Bag and Other Vintage Greats.

I really love this little floral piece of goody, from Vintage Marketplace. These guys are great - it's an on-Facebook, Australian based vintage market, and is so easy to use. You simply flick through their photo albums according to taste and size, confirm SOLD as a comment under the picture of your preferred item, and their shipping is flat rate express $10. Doesn't get much simpler... even Silly Simple Sally could manage that!

They are always adding new items, and sometimes they even have more than one of an item. That way, if you miss out, there's always a comforting bargain waiting for you in the next album. TIP: Always comment 'backup SOLD' on something if you really, really want it but just missed out, that way, if they do have more than one of the item, it's yours! They will let you know.

Also, imagine my delight upon discovering they sell boy's and girl's vintage basketball jerseys all the time! Usually around the $99 mark, I will be laying my hands very firmly on the next Lakers one in my size... after I've moved and have those things we call 'moneys' again.

A few other gems...

Vintage, velvet detailed little black chiffon dress

Peachy, Herpony inspired shirt-dress

Full length hippie skirt with cropped black singlet

Bright yellow, peace cutout crop singlet (brilliant!)

Love that orange shirt. Though everything "PLUS SIZE" on vintage marketplace is size 12... That annoys me.

Yes, this is true, though vintage sizes are quite different to today's shapes, too. Don't take any notices of tags and sizes Soph - try on whatever you like! Who knows, you could find a gem you mightn't have considered otherwise :)

(This is especially true when thrifting... sometimes items that look terrible on the rack look amazing on you. Try on, try on!)
